J.H. Potter and Son Woodcraft Inc. represents a family heritage of woodworking. The company was founded in 2007 by John Potter with the inspiration of his late father, and to carry on a tradition with his son, Ian.  It is a realization of a dream to design and produce quality handcrafted wooden toy airplanes and products reminiscent of a bygone era that will bring joy to children and adults as well. John was five when his father began patiently teaching him to build with wood.  He continued to develop his skills working alongside his father until going to college where he earned his engineering degree.  John has spent his professional career in design engineering and computer applications in manufacturing.  He has enjoyed woodworking as a creative outlet through most of his life.    One of the joys of working with wood is the knowledge that it is a living, renewable, non-polluting resource.
